Delicious Raisin Pie With Orange Rind Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Rind of 1 orange, grated
- Pie crust for double crust pie
- Cook raisins in 1 1/2 c. water till tender (mix flour and sugar together stirring with fork for 1 minute).
- Add in the sugar and flour mix slowly into raisins and cook till thickened.
- Add in the lemon juice and orange rind and mix well.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell and top with another crust or possibly criss cross pie crust strips.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 10 min.
- Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake approximately 20 min longer or possibly till golden.
