Nan SC's Sour Cream Poundcake
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 lg. eggs,
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- Cream butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.
- Combine flour, soda and salt.
- Add dry ingredients and sour cream, alternately, to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
- Stir in flavorings.
- Spoon batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake at 325F for 1-1/2 hours or until test done.
