Taco Rice
- 2 servings cooked white rice
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 pinch ichimi spice or cayenne pepper (optional to add spiciness)
- 1/2 Tbsp chili powder mix
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 170 g ground beef
- 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp sake (rice wine)
- 2-3 pinches salt
- 1 handful lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- to taste shredded cheese
- Prepare your rice so it gets done by the time you are ready to eat.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and add the onions and garlic.
- Cook until onions are soft.
- Add the ichimi/cayenne pepper, chili powder and cumin and mix in with the onions for a minute.
- Then add the beef and cook until brown.
- When the beef is cooked, mix in tomato paste, soy sauce, sake and a little salt.
- Mix well.
- Cook until the sauce is thick and not watery any more.
- Chop up the tomato and lettuce for topping.
- Put the rice on a plate and put meat on top.
- Top it with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes!
