Tofu Hamburger Steaks

  1. After heating the tofu in the microwave for about 3 minutes, drain out the water using a flat dish as a weight.
  2. Press out excess water using a kitchen towel, then crumble the tofu.
  3. Finely chop the shiitake mushrooms, onion, and ginger.
  4. Saute them in vegetable oil, then mix with the tofu, salt, pepper, and katakuriko.
  5. Form into patties.
  6. Using a little bit of vegetable oil, brown both sides of the burger over medium heat.
  7. Serve with teriyaki sauce to taste.
