Butterscotch Cranberry Sauce

  1. In a heavy saucepan combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and heavy cream.
  2. Add the salt.
  3. Bring the liquid to a boil, stirring, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add cranberries and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins, or until the berries have burst and the liquid is reduced to about 1-1/2 cups.
