Chicken A La Jardinere Recipe
- 3 lbs. frying chicken pcs
- Salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1 can Manwich sauce
- 1 c. celery, sliced
- 1 (4 ounce.) can mushroom slices, liquid removed
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1/4 c. white wine or possibly water
- Season chicken pcs with salt and pepper.
- Brown well in oil; drain off excess fat.
- Combine remaining ingredients; pour over chicken.
- Cover; simmer about 45 min or possibly till chicken is tender.
- Turn and baste pcs often.
- Makes 6 servings.
