Caramel Chocolate Chip Cake Recipe
- 2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 c. Packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. Semisweet chocolate chips, f nely minced
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 1 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 3 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1 x Caramel fluff frosting recip
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2" rectangular baking pan.
- Beat all ingredients except Caramel Fluff in a large bowl on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
- Neat on high speed for 3 min, scraping bowl occasionally.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 40 to 45 min; cold completely.
- Frost with Caramel Fluff.
- Store in refrigerator.
