Baked Ham Slice In Sauterne Recipe
- 2 lb Center cut ham slice
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c. -Water
- 1 Tbsp. Margarine
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1/2 c. American sauterne, or possibly other dry white wine
- Preheat oven to 350 .
- Place ham in a shallow baking pan.
- Set aside.
- Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
- Stir in water and margarine.
- Place over med-high heat and cook, stirring constantly, 5 mins.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in raisins and wine.
- Pour the mix over ham.
- Bake uncovered 45 mins.
- or possibly till tender.
- Note - one serving of this dish provides most of the recommended daily amt.
