Delicious Double Peanut Butter Cookies

  1. Sift together dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Blend in syrup and milk.
  4. Shape into 2-inch roll; chill a couple of hours.
  5. Slice 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Spread each with 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter.
  8. Cover with remaining slices and seal edges with a fork.
  9. Bake at 350^ for about 12 minutes.
  10. Cool slightly.
  11. Remove from sheet.
  12. Devour!
