Easy, Diced Daigaku-Imo for Bento

  1. Use a half of medium size sweet potato.
  2. Wash well.
  3. Chop into 2 cm cubes.
  4. Deep-fry in 180C/360F for about 3 minutes.
  5. When the edges have lightly browned, remove from oil.
  6. Deep-frying them for too long will make the potato hard, so please be careful.
  7. Add the deep-fried potato cubes into a pan, and coat well with the honey.
  8. Next, add the soy sauce, and salt.
  9. When they are well coated, you're all done!
  10. It will look like this when you put them in bento.
  11. Sprinkle black sesame seeds on top!
