Farmer's House Recipe: Braised Potato and Chicken
- 300 grams Potatoes
- 150 grams Chicken thigh
- 2 tbsp Frozen Green peas
- 250 ml Japanese dashi stock
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Mirin
- Peel the potatoes and remove the shoots.
- Cut into 6 to 8 pieces.
- Cut the chicken into bite sizes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a sauce pan and fry the chicken.
- When the colour of the chicken is changed, add the potatoes.
- Stir as to coat everything with oil.
- Add the dashi stock and simmer over a low medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Add theAand simmer for another 5minutes.
- Add the green peas in the end and cook for one minute.
- Once it is cooled down a bit, the flavour is more settled so it's better.
