Shrimp Boiled in Beer
- 2 pounds shrimp
- 24 ounces beer
- 1 each garlic cloves peeled
- 2 each bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon parsley leaves chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried
- 18 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 each lemon juiced
- Rinse shrimp.
- Combine remaining ingredients and boil.
- Add shrimp.
- Boil and reduce to simmer, uncovered, until done.
- Drain and serve with melted butter seasoned with lemon juice and Tabasco sauce.
- Or chill and serve with mayonnaise.
