Caramel Chocolate Brownies Recipe
- 1 pkt Caramels
- 1 x German/Swiss chocolate cake mix
- 1 1/2 stk butter, melted
- 1 c. Chocolate chips
- 2/3 c. Evap lowfat milk, (Pet, Carnation) (1 small can)
- 1 c. Minced walnuts
- Preheat over 350F; grease and sugar 9x13 pan
- Heat caramels with 1/3 c. evap lowfat milk in double boiler.
- Combine cake mix, melted butter, 1/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk, walnuts.
- Pat approximately 1/2 of mix in pan.
- Bake for 7 min.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and caramels over partically cooked dough.
- Crumble rest of dough over the mix.
- Bake for 15 min
- Remove from oven; chill when cold (this is essential if you want to cut them without gooey caramel !)
- Easiest way to cut is to remove from pan in one or possibly two pcs and cut with large knife
