Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Turkey Chili
- 1 packages lean ground turkey (a little over a pound)
- 1 can kidney beans (drained)
- 1 can chili beans, drained
- 12 oz tomato sauce (suggested fire roasted or garlic oregano)
- 8 oz chipotle salsa (pineapple chipotle salsa if available)
- 8 oz crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 chili powder to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Caramelize opinions in skillet, move to crock pot.
- Brown turkey in skillet.
- Move to crock pot.
- Combine beans, salsa, pineapple and tomatoes in with the Turkey and onions.
- Stir thoroughly.
- Optional, add chili powder for more heat.
- Suggested - 1 tablespoon for medium, 3 tablespoons for hot.
- Stir thoroughly and cook on high for 2.5 hours.
