Cheesy Meat Loaf

  2. In a large bowl, combine egg, bread crumbs; cheese; beer, milk, or water; pesto; nutmeg; and pepper.
  3. Add ground beef; mix well.
  4. Form into a loaf, and place in an 8x4x3-inch loaf pan.

  6. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until meat is done (160 degree F).

  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Transfer to a platter.
  10. If desired, diagonally halve slices of provolone or mozzarella cheese.
  11. Place three cheese triangles on top of meat loaf.
  12. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
  13. Makes 4 servings.
