Low Cal Tomato Bisque
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup celery
- 1 cup onion
- 4 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chopped tomatoes (avoid cans with HFCS)
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3 (1 g) packets stevia powder
- 14 teaspoon garlic salt
- 18 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 basil or 1 sage leaf
- 34 teaspoon paprika
- 18 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons milk
- salt
- 1. spray a little Pam into a pan and add the water, celery, and onions.
- 2. cook the onions and celery on medium heat until they are soft.
- 3. drain the water from the pan
- 4. add the chopped tomatoes (drain the juice in the cans), chicken broth, Stevia, garlic salt, chili powder, and basil or sage.
- Stir.
- 5. cook covered on medium heat for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
- 6. remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes.
- 7. blend the mixture in a blender.
- 8. add the cinnamon, milk, and paprika.
- Add salt to taste.
