Wine Braised Cabbage
- 1 head cabbage, thinly sliced
- 34 cup chopped onion
- 12 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 12 teaspoon crushed caraway seed
- 12 teaspoon crused anise seed
- 14 cup vegetable broth
- 14 cup dry white wine
- 2 sliced bacon, cooked crisp and diced
- salt and pepper
- Combine all ingredients except bacon, salt and pepper in slow cooker; cover and cook on high until cabage is tender, 3-4 hours.
- Stir in bacon.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
