Best Ever Macaroni and Cheese (gluton free modifications included)
- 2 cup pasta - brown rice pasta for gluton free
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1 salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp flour (brown rice flour for gluton free)
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup grated cheddar or mozarella cheese (your choice of cheese)
- in a saucepan, melt butter.
- add all of the spices and flour to melted butter.
- It will bubble.
- Add milk and whisk to make a smooth sauce to your desired thickness.
- remove from heat, allowing to cool slightly.
- Then add grated cheese and stir to melt in.
- (if the sauce is too hot, your cheese will go stringy)
- add cooked noodles and enjoy!
- for a yummy variation, cook 1 pound of ground beef and 1 1/2 cups of cooked broccoli and add it to the mix!
