Spicy Onion Rings

  1. Slice off ends of onions and peel off the skins.
  2. Slice into 1/2-inch rings.
  3. Place rings in a bowl of ice water and let sit.
  4. In separate bowl whisk together beer and flour.
  5. Season with salt, cayenne, and a dash of Tabasco.
  6. Whisk together.
  7. Dry onion rings on paper towels then dip into batter.
  8. Heat oil in a large kettle to 375 degrees.
  9. Dip dried onion rings in batter.
  10. Fry onion rings until brown and crispy.
  11. Serve
