Cape Cod Cranberry Sauce Recipe
- 3 c. cranberries 1 bag
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. golden brown raisins
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 x cinnamon stick (3" long)
- 1 pch grnd cloves
- 1 pch salt
- 1 lrg Rome apple, peeled, cored and diced
- In 3-qt saucepan, heat cranberries, brown sugar, raisins, vinegar, cinnamon stick, cloves, salt, and 3/4 c. water to boiling over high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, 6 min, stirring occasionally.
- Add in diced apple and cook till most of cranberries pop and mix thickens slightly, about 4 min longer.
- Throw away cinnamon stick.
- Spoon into serving bowl; cover and chill till well chilled, about 3 hrs.

- NOTES : I used a Granny Smith apple
