Brazilian Beef Pasteis
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1/4 cups Water
- 1 can (6 Oz. Can) Tomato Paste
- 2 whole Hard Boiled Eggs, Chopped
- Green Olives, Chopped, To Taste
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
- 1 bag Pastel Dough (found In Brazilian Or Mexican Food Stores)
- Cook the ground beef, drain the grease.
- Add the tomato paste and water, stir.
- Add the chopped hard boiled eggs, chopped green olives, and minced garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place a heaping spoonful in the middle of a pastel dough square.
- Fold over and seal the edges together with a fork.
- Fry in hot oil just until they turn golden brown.
