Basic Scone Recipe cdcarter

  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients
  3. Cut in the butter with two knives or your hands.
  4. It should resemble a course mixture.
  5. Add your extra ingredients to the mix
  6. Add milk until you can form a ball out of the dough.
  7. Put dough on a floured surface and kneed a little bit.
  8. Press the dough into a circle, of about 8-9 inches.
  9. Cut into 8 triangles.
  10. Place the triangles on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes.
  11. The final scones should be golden brown.
