Dayum That's Good Steak
- 14 cup whole black peppercorn (or to taste)
- 2 (10 ounce) New York strip steaks
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 fluid ounces whiskey
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- salt
- In a blender or food processor, process the peppercorns on high setting until they are finely crushed, about 15 seconds.
- Roll the steaks in the ground pepper, pressing it into steaks with palm of hand.
- Melt the butter in a medium skillet and saute the steaks to desired doneness.
- Remove the pan from heat, reserving the juices.
- Place the cooked steaks in a warm serving dish and set aside.
- To make a sauce: place the pan with the reserved juices over medium heat; add the whiskey, cream and Worcestershire sauce; reduce the mixture until it is thickened, about 5 to 8 minutes; add salt to taste.
- Pour warm sauce over the steaks and serve.
