Louisiana Cole Slaw Recipe
- 1 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 c. corn oil
- 1 lg. or possibly 2 med. heads cabbage
- 2 carrots
- 1 lg. pepper
- 1 med. onion
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- In a pot, heat vinegar, celery seed, salt, and pepper to near boil.
- Stir in the corn oil.
- Add in sugar.
- Continue to stir till the sugar melts.
- Pour warm liquid over shredded cabbage, carrots, pepper and onion.
- Toss, cover and refrigeratefor 24 hrs.
