Perfectly Steamed Asparagus with Hurry-Up Hollandaise

  1. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus spears.
  2. Add water to a steamer with a steamer insert or basket; the water should not touch the bottom of the insert.
  3. Bring the water to a boil and add the asparagus to the insert.
  4. Steam, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and steam for 3 to 5 minutes longer or until tender-crisp, checking occasionally for the desired degree of doneness.
  6. Serve with Hurry-Up Hollandaise.
