Barb's Anti-Vegetarian Chili
- 1 lb ground beef (lean) or 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 12 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 12 cup ketchup
- 12 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 12 teaspoon hot sauce
- 2 (15 ounce) cans chili hot beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans
- Brown beef and garlic together.
- Drain.
- Put all ingredients in a crock pot (or large pot on stove).
- Note: add the bean juice from the chili hot beans, but not from the red kidney or black beans.
- Cook on low all day (or if you're taking less time, start on hot, switch to low).
