Zesty Grilled Tuna with Fresh Tomato Topping
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. dry white wine
- 1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Zesty Italian Dressing Mix
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves, divided
- 4 plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- 1 Tbsp. chopped red onion
- 1 lb. tuna or mahi-mahi steaks
- Mix vinegar, wine, salad dressing mix and oil until well blended.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of the basil.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of the dressing mixture with tomatoes and onion.
- Stir in remaining 1 tablespoon basil.
- Pour remaining dressing mixture over fish in shallow dish; cover.
- Refrigerate 30 to 60 minutes to marinate.
- Drain; discard marinade.
- Place fish on greased grill over medium-high coals or on rack of broiler pan 3 to 5 inches from heat.
- Gril or broil 5 to 7 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.
- Place on serving plates; top with tomato mixture.
