Asparagus And Ham Sauce Recipe

  1. In a large skillet, over moderate heat, heat the oil and saute/fry the asparagus till lightly browned, 3 to 4 min.
  2. Remove the asparagus from the pan and set them aside while you make the sauce.
  3. Add in the ham to the skillet and cook 2 to 3 min, till lightly browned.
  4. Over high hear, add in the wine and boil till it is reduced to about 1/4 c.. Add in the chicken broth, and reduce by a third.
  5. Lower the heat and whisk the butter into the sauce to thicken it.
  6. Season with the salt and pepper.
