Venison Or Beef Stew Recipe
- 2 pound venison or possibly beef, cubed
- Garlic
- Basil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Tenderizer
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 med. onion
- 2 tbsp. paprika
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 carrots, sliced
- 6 potatoes, cubed
- 1 pkg. onion soup mix
- 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
- 1 can peas, liquid removed
- Tenderize meat.
- Brown meat on all sides in 2 Tbsp.
- oil.
- Add in garlic and basil to taste, sugar, salt, pepper, onion, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, stir and add in 3 c. water.
- Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hrs.
- Then add in carrots and potatoes with onion soup mix.
- Mix gravy with water before adding to stew.
- Cover and cook 30 more min.
- Add in 1 can of peas.
- Thicken with flour and water to taste.
- Very good!
