Basic Creamed Soup Recipe
- 2 c. instant lowfat milk pwdr
- 3/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. instant chicken bouillon
- 2 tbsp. dry onion flakes
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Mix all ingredients together and store in a container.
- To substitute for one can of condensed soup; combine 1/3 c. mix with 1 1/4 c. water in a saucepan.
- Cook and stir till thick.
- If you like, add in 1 Tbsp.
- butter.
- Mushrooms, celery, and other vegetables may be added.
- Add in to casserole instead of creamed soups.
