Macaroni and Cheese
- 1/2 lb Elbow noodles
- 4 oz Sour cream
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 Sugar (1/8 cup)
- 1/2 Egg, beaten
- 8 oz Shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese (1/2 small block)
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Cook noodles according to box instructions.
- Drain.
- As noodles cook, cut velveeta cheese into small (1/2 in.)
- chunks.
- Then mix egg, milk, and sugar together in small bowl until well blended.
- Set everything aside.
- Mix sour cream evenly with drained noodles in large bowl.
- Cover bottom of 8x8" glass dish with thin layer of noodles.
- Stir in velveeta chunks with remaining noodles in large bowl until semi-melted.
- Layer 1/3 shredded cheddar cheese over noodles in glass dish.
- Then pour 1/3 milk mixture evenly over noodles and cheese.
- Add another layer of noodles to dish, cover with 1/3 shredded cheddar cheese, and pour 1/3 milk mixture evenly over layers.
- Repeat step 7 with remaining ingredients.
- Cook dish in oven for 40-50 mins until cheese is bubbling and edges start to brown.
