Mary Ann's Bell Peppers Recipe

  1. Core out tops of bell peppers with serrated knife, remove seeds.
  2. Wash, set in pot of boiling water.
  3. Remove peppers.
  4. In medium bowl, mix meat, rice, salt, egg, minced onion.
  5. Stuff into bell peppers.
  6. In heavy iron pot saute/fry oil with onion till lightly sauteed.
  7. Add in tomato sauce, salt, water.
  8. Set bell peppers right side up.
  9. Cook 1 1/2 hrs basting sauce over top.
  10. Check to make sure sauce is abundantly sufficient.
