No Fuss Caramel Corn

  1. Place popcorn and peanuts in large brown grocery bag.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, syrup and salt in 2-quart glass bowl or casserole. Microwave High for 4 minutes, stirring after each minute until mixture boils.
  3. Microwave High 2 more minutes.
  4. Stir in baking soda.
  5. Pour syrup over corn and nuts in bag.
  6. Close bag; shake well.
  7. Microwave High 1 1/2 minutes.
  8. Close and shake bag well. Microwave High 1 1/2 minutes more.
  9. Shake bag well.
  10. Pour corn onto cookie sheet.
  11. Stir with hands as it cools to separate kernels.
  12. Be very careful you do not burn hands separating the corn.
