Apple Walnut Strudel Recipe

  1. Peel, core and chop apples.
  2. Combine apples, walnuts and lemon juice in mixing bowl; fold to mix.
  3. Heat margarine.
  4. Place 2 phyllo leaves on a lightly dampened, lightly bread-crumbed cloth.
  5. Brush leaves lightly with melted margarine.
  6. Lay a second leaf on top of each leaf.
  7. Brush each layer lightly with melted margarine.
  8. Repeat using all the leaves.
  9. Place apple filling 2 inch in from long edges.
  10. Fold long edges in over the filling.
  11. Fold over the ends.
  12. Roll up dough, jelly-roll fashion.
  13. Score top into 10 pcs with a sharp knife or possibly scissors and place on greased cookie sheet.
  14. Bake at 350F for 25 min, or possibly till lightly browned.
  15. 1 piece = 1/2 bread,
