Bread Pudding City Tavern Recipe
- 1 1/2 quart To 3 qt Casserole dish
- 12 x Large eggs
- 1 quart Lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Egg shade (optional)
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 1/2 ounce Dark rum, 1-1/2 shots, approximately
- 1/4 c. Dark brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 lb Day old bread, cubed
- Mix Large eggs, lowfat milk, sugar and flavorings in a large bowl.
- Grease casserole dish.
- Place bread cubes in casserole dish.
- Pour liguid mix over bread cubes.
- Top with butter and brown sugar.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a water bath at 300 degrees till pudding sets ( approx.
