Big Mouth 1/2 lb Applewood Burgers

  1. Put beef in a large mixing bowl and spread beef up the sides of the bowl to expose maximum surface area.
  2. Season with dried spices, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire.
  3. Mix very thoroughly to spread spices evenly.
  4. Add egg and breadcrumbs.
  5. Mix thoroughly again.
  6. Form into half pound patties, or as big or small as desired.
  7. Make sure patties are compact so they don't fall apart.
  8. Cook on a flat top grill, griddle or saute pan.
  9. The bbq grill loses fat from dripping, therefore moisture and flavor.
  10. Cooking technique for BBQ grilling is different.
  11. Use very little vegetable oil to cover the surface of the pan.
  12. Sear each side of the burger.
  13. Bake at 300 for approximately 30 minutes or until thermometer reaches 155, or desired doneness.
  14. Stack burger as follows...
