Lightly Deep-Fried Tofu Steak
- 1 block Tofu
- 2 tbsp Katakuriko
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 Bonito flakes
- 1 Mayonnaise
- 1 Green onions (thinly sliced_
- Pat dry the tofu with a paper towel.
- Mix the ingredients.
- Cut the tofu into 4 x 3 x 1 cm pieces.
- Apply a thin coating of vegetable oil to the frying pan and heat.
- Coat the tofu in katakuriko, tap off the excess and cook on medium heat until all sides turn golden brown.
- Once the surface becomes crispy, add the ingredients on the side.
- Shake the frying pan to flavor to the tofu.
- Turn off the heat and transfer to a dish.
- Top with bonito flakes, garnish with mayonnaise, scatter the green onions and it's finished.
