Bean And Apple Casserole Recipe

  1. Cook the beans in unsalted water till tender, about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
  2. Drain, reserving the liquid.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).
  4. Stir the apples, sugar, cinnamon, vinegar, and salt into the beans.
  5. Transfer to an ovenproof dish and just cover with some of the reserved liquid.
  6. Cover with a lid or possibly foil and bake for 35-40 min.
