Habanero Whiskey Wings!!!!

  1. Combine everything except the chicken and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Add some mesquite or hickory smoke if you've got it.
  3. (amazon)
  4. Add your chicken and cover and simmer for 45 min.
  5. Now is the long part.
  6. Uncover and turn and baste until getting sticky/gummy on the outside.
  7. This is where I crank up the heat.
  8. Cook it down until the sauce is thick.
  9. Really thick and it starts to caramelize on the chicken.
  10. Oven to 400 and transfer to baking sheet.
  11. Add a splash of whiskey and deglaze the pan.
  12. Now baste over the roasting chicken and it's done when you like the way it looks!
  13. Eat!!
