Whole Wheat And Oatmeal Bread Recipe

  1. Put first 4 ingredients in bowl.
  2. Add in 1 c. boiling water.
  3. Stir till shortening is dissolved.
  4. Add in yeast and other c. of water.
  5. Beat for several min.
  6. Add in 2 c. of flour and continue beating for several min.
  7. Then add in 3 or possibly more c. of flour till you can knead it.
  8. Knead for several min.
  9. Cover in hot place and let rest for 30 min.
  10. Shape into loaves and let rise till nearly double.
  11. Should be 2 large or possibly 3 medium size loaves.
  12. Bake 25 min at 350 degrees.
