Whole Wheat And Oatmeal Bread Recipe
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 pt. boiling water
- 1 pkg. rapid rise yeast
- Whole wheat flour
- Put first 4 ingredients in bowl.
- Add in 1 c. boiling water.
- Stir till shortening is dissolved.
- Add in yeast and other c. of water.
- Beat for several min.
- Add in 2 c. of flour and continue beating for several min.
- Then add in 3 or possibly more c. of flour till you can knead it.
- Knead for several min.
- Cover in hot place and let rest for 30 min.
- Shape into loaves and let rise till nearly double.
- Should be 2 large or possibly 3 medium size loaves.
- Bake 25 min at 350 degrees.
