Mock Chicken Almond Casserole
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 env. dry chicken noodle soup mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 cup uncooked regular rice
- 1/2 cup slivered
- sliced almonds
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Brown meat in skillet on medium high heat.
- combine drained meat with remaining ingredients in a 2-1/2 quart casserole.
- Sprinkle almonds over top.
- Baked covered for 1 hour.
