The Coolest Dessert Ever!!
- 34 cup sugar
- 34 cup water
- 2 cups watermelon or 2 cups raspberries or 2 cups honeydews or 2 cups strawberries or 2 cups pineapple or 2 cups kiwi
- 14 cup vanilla extract or 14 cup orange-flavored liqueur or 14 cup spiced rum or 14 cup lemon extract or 14 cup cherry-flavored liqueur or 14 cup citrus juice
- 1 tablespoon mint or 1 tablespoon rosemary or 1 tablespoon lemon verbena or 1 tablespoon lavender or 1 tablespoon candied ginger or 1 tablespoon citrus zest, chopped
- MAKE THE SYRUP: In a saucepan, mix the sugar and water.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and cool.
- BLEND THE FRUIT:.
- Blend the fruit of your choice in a blender or food processor.
- Puree 2 cups of a fruit from Column 1 until smooth.
- In a 9-inch metal baking pan, combine fruit, sugar syrup, 1 cup cold water, 1/4 cup liquid flavoring from Column 2 and 1 tablespoons of a chopped flavoring from Column 3.
- FREEZE AND SCRAPE:.
- Freeze mixture 1 1/2 hours.
- Then using a fork, scrape mixture from edge to edge, breaking it up.
- Freeze 1 1/2 hours more or overnight.
- Remove pan from freezer; let stand 10 minutes.
- Pulse in food processor until broken into small crystals.
- Put in long stem glasswear to serve,.
