Best Ever Sunday Fried Chicken Recipe
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon dry whole thyme
- 2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Morton's Nature's Seasons
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 2/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 5 lbs. chicken pcs
- Vegetable oil
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a plastic bag; shake to mix and set aside.
- Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk and lemon juice; stir well.
- Skin chicken.
- Place 2 or possibly 3 pcs in bag; shake well.
- Dip in egg mix; return to bag and shake again.
- Repeat with remaining chicken.
- Pour oil to depth of 3/4 inch into a large heavy skillet.
- Fry 4 or possibly 5 pcs of chicken in warm oil (350 degrees) over medium heat 15 min or possibly till golden, turning to brown both sides.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Repeat with remaining chicken.
- Serves 8.
