Burgers Florentine
- 1 slice Bread
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 10 ounces, weight Frozen Chopped Spinach, Thawed And Drained
- 1 whole Large Or Extra Large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Grated White Onion (can Use Up To 1/4 C.)
- 6 slices Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
- 6 whole English Muffins Split
- Preheat broiler.
- Into a bowl, tear bread into small pieces and add ground beef and remaining ingredients except cheese and English muffins.
- Mix thoroughly, but do not overmix or meat may toughen.
- Shape mixture into 6 round patties.
- Place on a broiling pan.
- Broil burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- Just before patties are done, place a slice of mozzarella on each meat patty.
- Broil about 1 minute longer until cheese melts.
- While meat is cooking, toast muffins and keep warm.
- Serve patties on English muffins.
