German Down Home Skillet
- 4 whole Potatoes, Medium-sized
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 cup Brown Gravy, Store Bought
- 23 cups Peas, Frozen
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
- Peel and slice your potatoes, cook them until soft in a pot of boiling water for about 20 minutes.
- Make sure to test them with a fork as you go; when done they will be tender.
- Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat over high heat.
- add onions and ground beef and cook until meat is browned.
- Add gravy, peas, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Turn heat down to medium and let simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add cooked potato slices and heavy cream.
- Cook until sauce is completely thickened up and covers all of the beef and potatoes.
- Serve with a bottle of beer.
