Rice Stuffing for Turkey
- 1 lg. onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 1 cup breadcrumbs, soft
- 1 cup milk
- 4 cups rice, cooked and chilled
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- Brown onion in shortening; add sausage and cook until brown.
- Soak breadcrumbs in milk.
- Combine all ingredients and stuff turkey for baking.
