Tender Shrimp Hanpen Fishcake

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp.
  2. Mince, but leave some texture.
  3. Hand-crush the hanpen while still in the packaging.
  4. Add a little bit of salt and katakuriko to the shrimp and mix with the hanpen until it all sticks together.
  5. Shape into flat, round patties and arrange on a plate.
  6. Add oil to a pan and cook.
  7. Flip once golden brown, add water, and cover with the lid to steam cook.
  8. Once both sides are golden brown, they are finished!
