Grilled Steaks with Anchovy-Lemon Butter
- 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 9 canned anchovy fillets, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced shallot
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 2 7-ounce New York strip steaks
- Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat) or preheat broiler.
- Using fork, mash first 5 ingredients in bowl until blended.
- Chill.
- Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper.
- Grill or broil to desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Transfer to plates.
- Top with anchovy butter.
