Creamed Turkey
- 4 ounces mushrooms, canned drained
- 2 tablespoons onions chopped
- 1/4 cup green bell peppers chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 can soup, cream of chicken undiluted
- 1 cup light cream (half&half)
- 1 1/2 cups turkey cooked and diced
- 1/4 cup pimentos chopped
- 1 dash sherry optional
- Saute mushrooms, onion, and green pepper in butter.
- Blend in flour and seasonings.
- Remove from heat.
- Slowly stir in broth and cream.
- Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Boil 1 minute.
- Add turkey and pimiento.
- Continue cooking until meat is heated.
- Serve hot with rice or in patty shells.
