Skillet Baked Liver & Onions
- 1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Cumin
- 1 pound Baby Calf's Liver, Sliced Thinly (I Have My Meat Market Slice This Into Two 1/2-inch Thick Pieces)
- 2 Tablespoons Sweet Cream Butter
- 2 whole Large White Onions, Sliced Finely
- 1/2 cups Low Sodium Beef Stock
- 1/4 cups Light Cream
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large plate, add flour, salt, black pepper, cumin, and mix together with a fork.
- Add the slices of calves liver and coat both sides well.
- In a large 12 cast iron skillet, add butter and sliced onions.
- Saute onions until tender Add beef stock and heavy cream and stir together.
- Add liver and place in oven at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes, uncovered.
- I love to serve this with homemade mashed potatoes and fresh peas!
